What's the difference between a whole-house system and an under-sink RO system?

A whole-house system connects to your main water line and filters every tap, shower, and appliance in your home — removing chlorine, sediment, rust, herbicides, and heavy metals. An under-sink reverse osmosis system goes a step further at a single point, stripping out finer contaminants like fluoride, PFAS compounds, nitrates, and pharmaceuticals.

What does the whole-house filtration system actually remove?

Our 3-stage whole-house system eliminates sediment, rust, and dirt; chlorine and chloramine; pesticides, herbicides, and VOCs; PFAS 'forever chemicals'; heavy metals; Giardia and other cysts; and anything causing bad taste or odour.

How long does the installation take?

A typical whole-house installation is completed in 2–3 hours by one of our certified Guardian plumbers. If you're adding both the whole-house and RO system on the same day, expect 3–4 hours total.

How much does a Guardian Water Care system cost?

Our whole-house systems are available in three tiers — Basic at $3,290, Premium at $3,411, and Advanced at $3,653 (all inc. GST, supplied and installed). The under-sink RO system is $1,540 installed. Flexible payment plans are available.

Are your systems certified and compliant in Australia?

Yes. All Guardian Water Care systems are WaterMark certified, which is the mandatory Australian standard for plumbing products. Our filter components meet or exceed NSF international standards, and every installation is carried out by a licensed plumber.
